November 28, 2014 Ice Climbing Report (Thanks Laura)

Weather News

The last week has been very tough on the ice. Lots of warm temps. Thankfully, the temps are dropping in the near future. See the links for Lillooet Weather below. Marble Canyon area and Bridge River can be expected to be 3-5C degrees colder.

Highway 99 North – Marble Canyon

Garry Brace and I (Laura Rapp) were at Marble Canyon yesterday.  The ice is really melted out and detached from the rock face.  We didn’t feel it was climbable. Pics below.
We spent the day on Comfortably Numb, which is in great shape, although wet and muddy! We replaced the missing hanger from half height, that Garry previously reported as being missing.
The change in weather should hopefully improve the ice situation out there!
