November 14, 2014 Ice Climbing Report (Thanks Garry and Drew)

Highway 99 North – Marble Canyon

The climbs at Marble Canyon are forming, as of this week. However, they need time to grow!!! Please stay off them for a couple of weeks and let them fill in. Thanks!

Comfortably Numb is in good shape, but missing a hanger at around 1/2 height.
The bottom 3/4 of Pink Cadillac is also in good shape. The top 1/4 is missing some crucial ice.

Here are some pics of the still-forming ice:

Highway 1 (Hope) and Highway 5 (Coquihalla)

Lower elevation climbs around Hope (e.g. Mousetrap) are partly formed and not yet climbable.

Sumallo Bluffs ice conditions Friday Nov. 14:
The Buszowski-Kippan is continuous thin ice.
Landmark Gully‘s crux pitch is about halfway down/formed.
Anthrax Ripple looked like it was all there, but I didn’t get a good shot.
