Febuary 9 Ice Climbing Report (Thanks Jean-Marc and Drew)

See my earlier post today if you can help recover gear from accident/rescue on Entropy/Soo Bluffs.

Highway 99 South – Squamish

Some climbs are still frozen around Squamish, but temperatures are projected to climb above and stay above freezing as of Tuesday. You can see in the picture gallery below that “in” means drippy and chandeliered.

Murrin Park Drips – the WI2 drips across from the Murrin Park parking lot are in. A couple of different lines can be lead (anchor off trees at the top).
Shannon Falls – lots of running water in the middle, partially frozen left and right. Some report that the bottom is not in and other parts are discontinuous.
Gertrude Falls (see New Climbs PDF) – frozen, chandeliered, drippy.
Ring Creek Falls – frozen, chandeliered, drippy.
