February 10, 2013 Ice Climbing Report (Thanks Alex)

Highway 99 South – Duffey Lake Road

Alex and his climbing partners, Mike & Mike hit up Rambles over February 5th and 6th.

The temps were quite warm (right around 0C with not much fluctuation in the evening). The ice was still, for the most part, quite FAT. We climbed over on Rambles Left during the 5th and then sessioned the climbs on Rambles Right on the 6th.

All in all, this was some of the most cozy climbing I have ever done with mild temps, not much dripping on the ice – we stayed dry 🙂 – and pretty decent ice to boot!

Get it while you still can… I doubt it will last if the temps don’t drop soon!
