January 23, 2013 Ice Climbing Report (Thanks Peter and Lee)

Highway 40 – Bridge River Canyon

Lee and Francis climbed Honeyman Falls today. Great ice.
They also drove further into the Bridge River Canyon and climbed Old Dogs, New Picks. Brittle ice with mushrooms and chandeliers, making for a challenging lead.

Highway 99 South – Pemberton

Peter and partner climbed The Plum today. He reports, “Given that it was about my 9th attempt, I just broke a new trail right to the base that would be similar to most years. 50mins to the 1st pitch. We were 8 hrs car-to-car today. Thanks to Lee and Francis for breaking trail on the snow pitches! Ice just got better the higher we went. Go get it before the heat does!”
White Blotter is in and fat looking.
