January 16, 2013 Ice Climbing Report (Thanks Frank)

Highway 99 North – Marble Canyon

Marble Canyon was -4.0C at 2:30 in the afternoon on Monday, Jan 14. A good sign that the ice continues to thicken around Lillooet.
Ice on the Deeping Wall has fattened up nicely since I (Adrian) was out there two weeks ago – if Frank’s photos are any evidence. The climb looks less wet and drippy as well.
Frank Zole and partner climbing Icy BC for all 3 pitches. Pitches 1 and 2 appear to be in typical shape, with engaging ice on the 3rd pitch.
“Enjoyable and memorable conditions.”
